    N-Acetyl-L-cysteine

This product is not available at the moment

N-acetyl L-cysteine is a drug commonly used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and to relieve symptoms of colds and flu. N-acetylcysteine is also considered to be an antioxidant that could play a role in cancer prevention.

When l-cysteine is consumed, it is converted by the body into a powerful antioxidant that protects cells from free radicals as well as side effects caused by drug reactions or toxic chemicals. This amino acid is a building block of proteins that are used throughout the body and one of those proteins is hair keratin. Cysteine constitutes approximately 10 and 14% of the skin and hair, so it is essential to have adequate levels of this amino acid in our body, both for general health and for the consistency of our dermis and hair.

*The US FDA has not evaluated these ingredient claims. The nutraceutical ingredient is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
