Polypodium leucotomos is a tropical fern originated in the rainforests of Central and South America. Its thin green leaves and underground stems called rhizomes have been used for centuries due to its medicinal properties. This plant is widely known for improving inflammatory skin conditions like eczema and for its photo-protective properties as it can prevent sun damage when taken orally. 

Polypodium leaf extract has antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are substances that fight free radicals which are unstable molecules that damage your body's cells.
