INOSITOL

Inositol is a simple carbohydrate, often considered a B vitamin commonly present in body tissues. Inositol is the fundamental component of all cell membranes and it is also involved in the transport of fats from the liver to the tissues. In the case of inositol, it contributes jointly to the regulation of cholesterol in the blood and stimulates the metabolism of fats. Its action helps eliminate the accumulation of fat both in the liver and in adipose tissue and accelerates its combustion to produce energy. 

Some studies have shown the effectiveness of inositol in the treatment of diseases of the central nervous system, such as depression and panic disorders. People who suffer from depression generally have decreased levels of inositol in their cerebrospinal fluid. Inositol has been shown in several studies to have a positive effect on the treatment of people suffering from depression.
