PROGESTERONE MICRONIZED

Progesterone is a type of naturally occurring steroid hormone. This supplement is similar to the progesterone that the female body naturally produces, and is given to replace the hormone when the body is not making enough of it. 

In women who are not pregnant and not going through menopause, this product is used to restore normal menstrual periods that have stopped for several months, a condition known as amenorrhoea. Progesterone is also used as part of combination hormone replacement therapy with oestrogens to reduce menopause symptoms, like hot flushes. Progesterone is added to estrogen replacement therapy to reduce the risk of cancer of the uterus.  

Progesterone micronized regulates ovulation and menstruation in women. It also induces secretory changes in the endometrium lining of the uterus, promotes breast development, relaxes the uterus, blocks the maturation and release of a follicle and maintains pregnancy.
